Domestic Energy Performance Certificate (EPC)

All clients will usually be issued with their EPC on the same day as the survey.

Energy Performance Certificates (EPC's) have been introduced as part of the Scottish Government's commitment to improve the energy efficiency of our buildings. They are designed to make it easy to judge the performance of a building in terms of energy usage and carbon dioxide emissions and to offer advice on possible improvements. As the price of gas and electricity continues to raise the information and advice in the EPC becomes increasingly valuable as a tool for controlling energy costs.  

As EPC's are new to the rental and housing market please use caution when choosing an Energy Advisor to carry out EPC's on your behalf. We would urge you to ensure that the EPC is provided by someone with the necessary experience, qualifications and membership of an appropriate professional institution/organisation.

If you are an owner-occupier or residential landlord considering of selling or renting, it is your responsibility to ensure that your property has a valid home energy certificate detailing your property's energy efficiency rating.

All our residential EPC's utilise BRE approved software and are carried out by competent energy assessors qualified and registered with the British Research Establishment (BRE). every Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) is lodged in the HEED Database which is operated by the Energy Savings Trust.
